Slaughtering the Festivus Tree

Happy December First!
In honor of it actually being acceptable to listen to Christmas music, put up the lights, etc, I present you with our family hunt for a Christmas tree.

My menfolk head into the tree farm forest to find a tree.

What do you think of this one, Daddy? I like it.

Timber!

Let me help!

He was so very proud of his helping!

  4. We cut our own tree down on Saturday. It was my husband’s first time and I think he was as proud of himself as your little guy was.

    Although, way less cute.

  5. What a cutie! And so proud!

It’s been ages since we had a real tree. The daughter was very young, and very pleased to help pick it out.

  6. We always have a real Christmas tree, but we have never cut one down ourselves.

Mark has promised the girls that we will be cutting out own tree this year.

He has also promised that he will let them help with the chainsaw.

    Wait. Chainsaw?

    Don’t worry.

I am on top of the situation.

  7. Looks like he’s giving daddy orders!!

  8. This little boy will remember it all his life! How wonderful!
    Merry Christmas!
